The Kodak Zi8 is one of the first pocket camcorders that can film in 1080p Full HD. It has a large 2.5'' screen, a mic input and a macro mode. Your video is recorded on an SDHC card, which is now a very common format.
The explosion in this market has been propelled by the growing popularity of online video HD. A pocket camcorder is a cost-effective way of replacing a traditional full-sized camcorder for basic tasks like video blogging. But without a zoom, a very narrow angle of view and reduced sensitivity limit its uses in other fields.
