Claim your Free Bumper with Apple's iPhone 4 Case App

Following Steve Jobs' announcement that iPhone 4 owners would receive a free Bumper, you can now claim your free case by downloading the 'iPhone 4 Case Program' app from the App Store. As well as protecting the phone, Apple's Bumpers and intended to counteract reception issues that have plagued the iPhone 4 since it release. Delivery will, however, take several weeks.

For two summers in a row now, the iPhone has dominated worldwide tech news. Last year, the hot topic was the iPhone's 'exploding screen,' whereas this year, the iPhone has been hitting the headlines due to the Antennagate scandal. In response, Steve Jobs is offering a free Bumper to any iPhone 4 owner who is experiencing signal strength issues.

As promised, iPhone 4 owners can now claim their free Bumper by downloading the dedicated application from Apple's App Store. Note that if you bought your iPhone 4 before 23 July, you must make your Bumper request before 22 August.

Once you've claimed your free case you will, however, have to wait a good few weeks before you can expect to take delivery.
