Dedicated SDHC Cards for Netbooks from PNY

Riding the wave of popularity for netbooks, PNY has just released a series of special SDHC cards designed to improve the meagre storage capacities sometimes experienced by these ultra-portable computers.

This rather striking blue card should work with most of the netbooks out there today: all of the models that we've examined so far are compatible with SDHC cards and testing their read/write speed with an 8 GB card is one of our standard tests for these products.

But then again, a memory card is just a memory card, and there's nothing to stop you using this new memory with a digital camera, a smartphone, a GPS or any other device ...

What's more likely to impress is the price point that PNY has chosen, carefully targetting cost-concious netbook customers.

Two models are available from tomorrow:

PNY SDHC 8 GB
