Firefox wants to modernise its logo: the graphics plate

No, it's not a fox: it's a little panda. And it will be redesigned for Firefox version 3.5

A print has been put on line showing the history of the logo and the different choices made in the past. And we discover that the logo comes from… the Bible! At least, from an illustration in the Bible that Daniel Burka had as a child.

We also find the first sketches for the logo, already pretty close to the current logo, what they company likes about it and what they want to change – in particular the animal’s tail that could well extend outside the current image and become more 3 dimensional.
