Good news: iPad screen to use IPS

Apple has chosen an IPS screen for the iPad. It's a great choice, and its only weakness is poorer contrast ratios than some rival technologies. On the hand, IPS has the widest possible viewing angles and a fast display.At the same time, we were expecting as much, because Apple had already shown its support for IPS displays on other products.
The panel has a definition of 1024 x 768 pixels and a resolution of 130 ppi. The most popular 10'' netbooks are still only 600 pixels high. At $499, it's going to be hard for them to fend off the competition …
