The case that works as a charger

The case for the Discovery 925 isn't just used to keep it safe when you're not using it. It also contains a battery and a micro USB port, meaning that the headset can be recharged as soon as you plug it into the case.
It seems like a simple enough feature, but it's really useful as it adds valuable extra time using the product.
The only problem is that the cable supplied only allows you to charge either the case or the headset, but not both at the same time.

Plantronics is one of the world's leading providers of headsets for use in call centres, and so it's unsurprising to find them producing Bluetooth headsets for the consumer market, with some very advanced models.
Design: classy doesn't always mean understated
The 925 hardly hides its light under a bushel, but it's not extravagant either. Plantronics puts this accessory forward as a 'jewel', which, no doubt is marketing speak; there's no denying, though, that the manufacturer has managed to make an attractive-looking product, which is worth showing off but isn't garish.
There's a space between the two arms of the microphone boom, keeping it nice and light.
Accessories include a case that includes a built-in charger and a separate wall charger (which either charges the headset or the case, see inset), but there's no ear clip. Three different sizes of earplugs are available, and they each include a small clip to help them stay attached to your ears.
Audio Quality: Three cheers for AudioQ!
Like with most headsets, the audio signal from the mic is handled very nicely. The other caller will be able to hear you very clearly.
We found the same came from the audio produced by the apprise, with no noticeable negative effects from compression. It's hard to find anything to criticise with the Discovery 925.
In the true sense of the world, Plantronics has managed to produce a beautiful product. Anybody who's addicted to wearing a headset will feel right at home and be delighted by how comfortable it is and how useful the recharging case is.

This is one of the best headsets we've ever tested. The sound quality is very good, and it comes with a case that has a battery allowing you to recharge the headset while it's not in use.
