Hercules DJ Control MP3 e2: for mix enthusiasts

Hercules is continuing to develop its mix products with the new Hercules DJ Conrol MP3 e2 with an updated design.


Let’s begin with the tech spec:

• Lighter and smaller than a laptop
• Powered by the USB bus: no external power supply required
• Comes with a protection cover for ease of transport
• 4 buttons for navigating in the lists and 2 buttons to load pieces
• 2 jog wheels to move pieces around, accelerate/slow down or add effects
• 1 cross fader + 2 volume faders 3 equalisation sliders per deck
• New shape: slimmer and wider
• Larger jog wheels, therefore more precise
• 4 navigation buttons
• More space between the cross-fader and jog-wheels
• More solid buttons
• Backlighting for most button

The entry-level Hercules controller is now improved in quality and includes quite a few of the innovations we saw on the DJ Control Steel. We’ll have to wait until we get our hands on it to give a full opinion.
