At the IFA in Berlin, Sony had plenty of exciting things to look at. One of them was its Party-Shot mobile docking station, which allows its new compacts the WX1 and TX1 to line up a shot and take a photo without any human intervention.
The conditions at the fair were far from ideal, with Sony's stands one of the darkest at the IFA and a lot of visitors who walked past without stopping, and so the Party-Shot and WX1 together struggled a bit. However, as you can see, as long as somebody stands still in front of it for a few seconds, then it works: the camera lines up the shot, zooms in to line up the faces it has recognized and takes the photo.
