The Netgear EVA 9100 is a lite version of the EVA 9150. The decoding chip and internal software is identical on both. You can therefore check out the EVA 9150 for more information. This is where the EVA 9100 differs:

  •  It can't house a hard drive
  •  No Wi-Fi, just Ethernet
  •  Not a universal remote

3/5 Netgear EVA 9100 DigitalVersus 2010-04-28 00:00:00

Pros

  • Internet services and networking
  • Nice looking graphics for the interface

Cons

  • Multimedia compatability: the competiton is doing much better
  • Sometimes over-complicated interface
  • USB and Ethernet slowdowns
  • No DTS decoding

Conclusion

An interestingly designed media centre with decent results in practice. It's just a shame that it doesn't have better compatibility and that USB and networking performance is so low.
