The page you see seems to depend on which browser you're using, but it's not as simple as that: we haven't yet seen it on all of our computers. It's obvious that Google is still testing the new look. Here's what we've seen so far:- Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer: you get the 'basic' version of the new interface without icons and links that you have to click to reveal the different options.
- And on Chrome? What a surprise: the new interface is much prettier, with icons to show you what's going on.
Perhaps you've got a slightly different version, but that's how it looks from here anyway
Right now, we're getting the normal results page in Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer, but if you look at the top of the page, there's a link that says 'Show options' that you can click to get the menu on the left:

But if you do the same search in Chrome, then it's all there for you straight away:

The different sections are clear enough, and you can choose each one to filter your results into different categories.
If you're wondering what the 'Updates' option means, it shows results that come from status updates on social networking sites. For the time being, most of them are from Twitter, but some Facebook statuses make it into the mix too. Remember: everything you share on these sites is visible to everybody online!
