Until recently, Network Attached Storage systems--more commonly known as NAS--were reserved either for professional users or people with certain amount of technical experience. However, they're becoming an increasingly common accessory thanks to increasingly intuitive user interfaces.Easier to install than ever before, NAS systems allow you to keep all of your data safe and secure and access it from everywhere on your home network.
To launch our survey of this growing product category, we have five different models:
The LaCie 2Big Network 2 TB and Network Space 1 TB both have a very classy design with an excellent finish. The Synology DS209 and DS409slim are less easy on the eye but provide great speeds, and a complete range of extra features--just like the Qnap TS-219P.
