New TVs from Loewe: Individual Compose and Art SL

Like other TV manufacturers, Loewe used the IFA trade show in Berlin to unveil some of its new models, which we've now had a chance to take a closer look at.

The Individual Compose line (right) has been renewed with several new options that place it right at the very top of the range with pretty much every feature available in modern televisions on board.   

A Full HD panel at 100 Hz, 24p compatibility and a HD digital tuner all now come as standard across the range.

The list of optional extras, though, is even more impressive: a satellite tuner, a hard drive for recording programs, a Media Center option for reading audio and video files from a PC, four different colors for the front of the case, seven finishes for the sides and a whole range of different speakers can all be added.

This made-to-measure service and customizability come at a price of course, and a hefty one at that.  An Individual Compose TV in white will set you back anywhere from 4490 euros (40'' screen) to 6690 euros (52'').

Loewe's Art collection, meanwhile, also has a new addition, the Art SL Full HD+ 100 (left) - the SL stands for Slim Line, apparently, and it seems that getting as thin a screen as possible is one of the key battlegrounds for TV manufacturers this season.

This TV's 9 cm panel supports Full HD and 24p, and has a refresh rate of 100 Hz.  A built in HD-compatible tuner is included, and for 500 euros you can add a 250 GB hard drive to record programs, although this option is on special offer through December 2008 and comes in at just 250 euros.

Available in a smaller range of colors than the Individual Compose TVs, the Art SL Full HD+ 100 will be available in November in a 42'' version and then in larger sizes from December.
