Panasonic's 2010 cameras available: TZ10, TZ8, ZX3, FX66 on sale now

Slowly but surely the wheels have begun to turn and Panasonic's latest cameras have begun to appear in the shops.  Canon, Nikon and Sony are all hoping to beat these new arrivals and regain some market share, especially after the runaway success of the TZ7, one of the best-selling cameras of 2009.  It's game on from Panasonic, though, which has a new set of weapons for 2010 …

Panasonic's four new hopefuls have recently begun appearing online, at the sort of prices we had expected.  It goes without saying that we can't wait to try them out … and their competitors too of course!  The fight for the best compact digital camera of 2010 will be tougher than ever.  We're eager to get our hands on the Fuji F80EXR, the Canon Ixus 130 and SX210 IS, the Sony TX7, the super-small Nikon S8000 and the feature-packed Samsung WB650 to name but a few …

In particular, plenty of people are waiting to see how the TZ10 will do.  Some of Panasonic's competitors are waiting to see whether consumers find GPS appealing before they build it into their own cameras, but they're all hoping to produce equal performance for photos and videos, or even to do better.  As for us, we're wondering if the TZ10 will prove to be a more popular test than the TZ7, one of our most widely-read reviews of last year.
