Today’s duel sees a veteran projector, the Panasonic PT-AX200E, up against a plucky young upstart, the Samsung SP-A600B. Although the Panasonic is showing its age with 720p HD Ready resolution, it still has enough good features to put up a decent fight against the onslaught of entry-level 1080p projectors. But will that be enough to reign victorious?

It’s a pretty tough choice, picking between a high-end, HD Ready projector, originally released in 2007 and with a five-star test score, and an entry-level, Full HD DLP projector with a more attractive price tag. In fact, plenty of our readers have contacted us with the same dilemma. So there’s never been a better time to take a closer look at these two types of product and compare and contrast what each has to offer.
