PSP and PS3 beat Nintendo

Sony once again rules the video games market in Japan. Last week the PS3 and the PSP consoles outsold the rival couple, the Wii and DS by Nintendo.

The Nintendo consoles have been at the top of the Japanese charts almost ever since their launch, while the ones by Sony had to struggle a bit. This shift in trends is largely due to the release of latest instalment of Capcom's Resident Evil for PlayStation 3 and the recent addition of new body colours to the PSP product line-up.
Sony sold 38,748 units of the PS3, compared with 16,000 Wii units and 15,152 Xbox units.
