After recently launching her very own account on the Flickr photo sharing website, it seems that Queen Elizabeth II has her sights firmly set on bringing Buckingham Palace into the 21st century.
After the Queen Elizabeth II FaceBook page, the British Monarchy Twitter account and the Royal Channel on YouTube, Buckingham Palace has now opened an account on the photo sharing website, Flickr.
The site features around 600 exclusive pictures of the Queen and other members of the royal family at various functions and events, and is due to be updated regularly. The site includes shots of many royals as children and throughout their lifetimes, as well as a collection of Victorian pictures.
The British Monarchy's photostream also features a selection of new pictures due to feature in The Queen's Year exhibition, running at Buckingham Palace from 27 July to 1 October 2010.
