| Buffalo Technology DriveStation 1 TB with encryption |
Now that it's extending its range, Iomega has brought us the eGo Portable 500 GB. It's a perfect peripheral if you're on the go, it has a shock-protection system that protects it from falls from up to 1.3 metres.
Buffalo, on the other hand, has two new hard drives with hardware encryption, the DriveStation 1 TB and the MiniStation 250 GB. The former is a 3.5'' disk which requires an external power source, while the latter is powered directly over USB. They both allow you to encrypt your files to keep them away from prying eyes, as well as the Turbo USB feature increases speeds bay an average of 20%.
