This week's tests + last week's top fives: iPhone 4, TX7 and more

Although it's the summer holidays, manufacturers have been busy announcing their plans for the autumn, with big announcements from Panasonic about cameras and Samsung on monitors. 

And after Apple decided to give a free bumper to disgruntled iPhone 4 customers disappointed by problems with signal, we tested the iPhone 4's signal strength and compared it to a series of other handsets.

Reviews coming up this week

• Tuesday: we started the week with something of a step back in time, looking at a camcorder that 'still' relies on Mini DV tapes, the Sony HDR-HC9.  Later on, we'll look at the new Canon Ixus 300 HS compact camera.

• Wednesday: we'll be looking at a pair of MP3 players from Philips and Cowon, as well as the Nvidia GTX 465 graphics card.

• Thursday: our smartphone review will be the Samsung Galaxy S, while we'll have our first keyboard review in a while, the Logitech Notebook Kit MK605 in the afternoon.

• Friday:  as ever, we'll end the week with a look at laptops, this time two Sony Vaio models.  LaCie will also make their second appearance in three days with a pair of media centres.

• Saturday: will be time for an update of our Buyer's Guides, with a look at the best GPS for the job.

• Monday: we'll be bringing you another one of our duels, this time putting two of the latest 3D TVs up against each other, one a Panasonic plasma, the other a Samsung LCD.

• Tuesday: we've already had a long look at Sony's new hybrid cameras (them again!), but we'll have our full, in-depth test of the Sony NEX-5.
