TV Review: Philips 50PFL7956H Brings Passive 3D To 21:9 Aspect Ratio

After our recent look at the Philips 58PFL9956 'Platinum', today we're reviewing the 'Gold' version—better known as the Philips 50PFL9765H.  It too uses a 21:9 aspect ratio, which is perfect for watching movies. 



It also supports 3D using passive technology, but is only available in one size, this 50'' version.

Philips' new 'gold standard' has Edge LED backlighting, instead of the Full LED system used on the Platinum version.  Given how little the system brings to the S8PFL9956H, that's not really much of a problem.
