Review: TV Samsung LE40C630 with a Sony-Samsung PVA Panel

When we tested the Samsung LE46C630 TV a few weeks ago, we noted that it had an MVA panel supplied by AU Optronics.  Today, though, we're looking at the 40'' version of the same TV which has a PVA panel from Sony-Samsung.

Samsung's C630 is one of the most eagerly awaited TVs of the moment, with a flourishing feature list and great hardware for a sensible price. On paper, it has a number of powerful advantages, including a media player, support for the DLNA standard and MotionPlus 100 Hz to display movements in films more fluidly.

Unfortunately, though, this range of TVs is affected by a panel lottery.  There are two versions of the 40C630: one with a Sony-Samsung display, and the other with one made by AU Optronics.  Our review compares the two panel technologies that seem to be available in the C630 range ...
