Retractable cap and clip

If, like me, you're used to losing things, you'll be glad o hear that PNY has thought to include a retractable cap on this USB key.
It also has a clip that allows you to snap it onto a keyring or anywhere else you like. That means that you can always keep it close to hand.

PNY has several lines of USB keys, and this time, we're looking at the 16 GB version of tthe Attaché Original. It's also available in 4 GB, 8GB and 32 GB versions.

The model shown in these diagrams is the 32 GB version, but the 16 GB model is the same size.
Physically, the keys might be larger than those in PNY's City Series, but this new key is still small enough to forget about once you've got it in your pocket. To make it easier to use, it has a sliding cover (see inset), and the outside is made from quality black plastic.
Mid-range read speeds but mediocre write speeds

Speeds MB/s
Compared to other keys we've tested, this keys produced an average performance when reading files. For writing data to they key, though you'd better be patient. In fact, it takes an average of three minutes to copy 1 GB of data onto the 16 GB PNY Attaché Original, or 48 minutes to fill the whole key. Things are less dramatic when reading data from the key, and copying 1 GB of files takes less than a minute.

Minuses
-
Write speeds are too slow
Reading data from this USB key is acceptable, so it's a shame that writing is so slow. If you need a faster key, look elsewhere!
